My Process
1.Fill out the form
Give as much information as you can! The more I know, the better I can assist you in choosing a package right for you.
2.getting booked
Once a date, time and location are decided on- it's booking time! To book a 20% deposit invoice and contract will be sent to you.
3.Picture time
I'll show up on time and ready to shoot! I will gently guide you through prompts and poses- but mostly I'm here to document you as you are! Shoots with me are casual and relaxed.
4.Delivering photos
Photo time! I will deliver sneak peeks after a day or two and your full gallery within 2-3 weeks. For weddings turn around time is 5-9 weeks. Your photos will be uploaded to an online gallery where you will have full access to all images.
FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely! I am a huge fan of photographing in exciting new destinations! I often have upcoming travel dates listed on my instagram highlights- which means no mileage for you! If your location is somewhere on my bucket list- you just pay for my travel.
What should we wear for our session?
You can never go wrong with neutrals! Neutrals are my favourite colour palette to work with because they will match any environment and make every image have that timeless feel. Think browns, blacks and cream colours! It's a good idea to stay away from anything too bright as it will reflect back on your skin, as well as busy patterns that could be distracting. Layers are also a good idea as they add interest and variety to your photos. Style guides are available upon request, and I am always available to help you pick out an outfit if you are struggling. The most important thing is you feel confident and comfortable.
How long does it take to get our photos?
For regular sessions, sneak peeks are sent within a couple days and full galleries in 2-3 weeks. Weddings will be 5-9 weeks.
Tips for choosing the right wedding package:
Ask! I am happy to give suggestions for your specific needs. Decide which parts of the day are most important to you. Remember to factor in time for travelling between venues and photoshoot locations. It is better to overestimate the time you will need, rather than rushing around on your big day!
Do you offer maternity, newborn or grad photo shoots?
I do! Sessions will be charged depending on how many people will be present.
What does "storytelling photography" mean?
The short and sweet answer: Romanticising your everyday and turning it into a collection of photos that flows like a movie.
My shoots are activity based- meaning no randomly standing around somewhere where you'd never actually be, in clothes that you never actually wear. Instead, we will work together to come up with some fun things to do that reflect your everyday life and relationships. You love to bake together or have a relaxing morning in the garden? Let's turn that into your shoot! This approach allows you to really see yourself in your images and capture real memories.
How many photos will I receive?
Every session is different depending on session length, lighting, weather, etc. All photos that turn out will be included in your gallery - it is often a lot! Wedding clients will receive 75-100 images per hour I am with you for your special day.
